This year’s GPCCI German Ambassador’s Cup (GGAC) 2024 is a prestigious charity golf tournament that combines sporting excellence with meaningful causes. The event is expected to bring together top executives, diplomats, business leaders, and golf enthusiasts for an unforgettable day of competition, camaraderie, and philanthropy.
The tournament was held at the picturesque Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City, Batangas on November 15. A key highlight of the tournament was the active participation of the German Embassy, with His Excellency Ambassador Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke.
The event’s goal is to support various charitable institutions that benefit communities and a portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go to Physicians for Peace Philippines.

The day concluded with a dinner and awards ceremony at the German Ambassador’s residence in Forbes Park, Makati City. One of the lucky attendees, Mr. Garnil Cabrera, Marketing and Communications Manager of TÜV Rheinland Philippines, received prizes from North-Diamond, including a down feather pillow, master formulated essential oil, and a fleuresse® Black Premium Swiss Satin bed linen set. Meanwhile, Sir Ariel Sardalla and Ms. Myrna Enriquez also had their names drawn and received gifts from GPCCI.
Additionally, there was a side trip to a farm, just a 10-minute drive from Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club, with Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) Chairman Aurelio “Reli” De Leon, and North-Diamond’s Business Consultant and Partner from Germany, Ms. Veronica Jägle and Mr. Michael Jägle, to Mr. Joseph Dyhengco’s Cool Summer Farm and Villas, where they breed and race horses. Mr. Dyhengco was awarded Horse Breeder of the Year.
The North-Diamond team marveled at the sight of the well-groomed stallions: ‘Firing Line,’ with a fiery spirit that exuded majestic power; ‘Ete Indien,’ with his striking presence and proud stance; and ‘Treasure Hunting,’ with his unique grace and strength. And there was ‘Righteous Ruby,’ a beautiful mare who is pregnant with ‘Firing Line’s’ foal. Each horse left an unforgettable impression on the team.
As golf and horse races are more than just hobbies and sports, active engagement in these sports promotes overall fitness, which enhances resilience to physical and mental stress. Both sports spending time outdoors, golf courses for natural environments, and equestrian trails promote relaxation and mindfulness.
After physical activities like golf and horse riding, such physical exertion involved proper rest to allow muscles to repair and regenerate and so good sleep is vital for maintaining energy levels and optimizing performance in these kinds of sports.
